Now that I know It's stable

I can scream *I have cable, I have cable, I have cable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* woooooo hooooooooooo! :D and the computer is now safely located in my own space. Didn't want to jinx it by speaking too soon in case it didn't happen, well if you know the history you'll understand that lol, and it almost didn't just after the guy left I discovered the cd was useless and spent the day running up and down between the phone and the computer and bit by bit manually taking it through the steps it needed per instruction. But I've been on a while now and everything is going great :D

Great.......

Woke up with the mother of all headaches, and I mean really, really bad. The sort that leaves you curled up in ball on your bed by early afternnoon not knowing whether to cry or throw up. Took a couple of painkillers that kinda dulled it but made my stomach sick and me woozy, as per usual for me with painkillers. Did manage to get a small ammount of work done on the site but my eyes are sore and I had to go, which as soon as this is uploaded will be exactly what I'm doing again

Meh...

Damn, suddenly not feeling so good, hope it will pass, kinda stuffed up and spacey, out of synch....... bleugh

The Holiday

Friday 14th: Picked up my sisters friend and headed to the ferry, laughed and rambled about old times (we all grew up together and I hadn't seen her in quite some time) over a couple of drinks. Arrived, met my sister and her husband to be :D and we decided on going for something to eat nearby as he was leaving for Dublin to see friends for St.Pats and it was much easier than going home to drive him straight back. Went back after dropping him off and continued to chat and catch up over so more drinks and we were fairly tired by then :lol

Saturday 15th: Today we decided to do some sightseeing and headed into Glasgow, pretty busy it was too! Managed to get a pair of black trousers before we had to get home as we had tickets for Jongleurs (comedy club) and needed to be there early. What a night! it was awesome, ended up with a free pitcher of beer as there was some sort of mistake and they thought we had ordered two on the little cards they give you to fill in with the drinks you want brought during the break as the bar closes when tha acts are on. Of course we didn't make them any the wiser :p
Our friend had a little problem with the Scots accent :lol but basically everyone was brilliant and the compare was an Irish guy we had seen before so we were assured that at the very least we would enjoy his spot!

Sunday 16th: Edinburg was the place for today and it's a stunning town, really beautiful. Did some more window shopping, had lunch and then walked back through the park and castle grounds. My sister also found her wedding shoes :)

Monday 17th: The big 'P' day!!!!!!!! :D My sister was back at work, so our friend and I decided we'd go back into Glasgow ourselves, quite an adventure lol! finally found the train station, which was the one after the one we needed, got lost and walked a bit to far hehe! This time came back with a pair of combat trousers, black of course and eek! a pair of £80 boots *faints* that's the most money I've spent on myself in one go in..........um.ever! But they rock :P

The night is a blur of watching traditional Irish Dancing, music and way to much green alcohol, not to mention the early morning phonecalls to anyone we could remember to seranade them, rather drunkenly badly lol!, with any Irish songs we knew the lyrics too!

Tuesday 18th: A wasted day of recovery and of course phone apologies, so it was pretty quiet. Did go a local place for a chat and a drink before going to see 'Analyse That' at the cinema that night and loved it, well you can't knock De Niro!

Wednesday 19th: *Sigh* time to go home, was exhausted, had drank to much but I hated leaving my sis, love ya hun! :)

Awake...just about!

Wow, ended up getting up at 9am, what gods forsakened hour is that! blah! Result is that I'm kinda fuzzy but everything is done. I'm packed, the place is clean and I'm ready to go, because I was up so early though a headache is threatening behinnd my eyes, always happens when I get up to early for me. And yeah, the forums are looking suitably St. paddy attired lol!

Yipe!

Leaving for my sisters tomorrow to spend St. patricks with her, I have a million things to do, clothes are still in the dryer, it's late and I'm losing the will to do anything which may mean packing etc gets put off untill tomorrow morning. And what does that mean? Yup, I gotta get up at a resonable hour, not only to do that but feeling all patriotic the forum nedds a change of colour, early I know but I won't be here to do it on the day - bleugh!

My body clock is all over the palce to, think that's been accounting for the crabbyness, been wondering around to the wee hours and sleeping as late as possible. Normally end up getting up too early anyway not to 'look bad' and get harrased about it so not getting a lot of good sleep as I don't sleep to well anyway. In fact took 2 sleeping pills in great hope the night before and nada........

*Sigh*

Tired, antsy, grumpy, not sure why but I sure as hell could make light work of a punchbag about now arg!

Audience Participation

WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO! got back on the 3rd, a day earlier than planned but i'll cover that later, and there waiting for me was a brand new Compaq computer Presario 6000, black and silver with 17" screen, windows XP, cd writer, the works! and basically making my old little destop look like the dinosaur it was. It actually was a replacement for my brothers computer which he managed to trash but he decided that as he very rarely used it, if at all, and provided he can use it when he wants it's all mine *hugs 'puter* :D So I've been spending time setting it up and adding all the software needed for the things I had on the old one etc.

My friend and I flew back a day early because we had tickets for Patrick Kielty and taping got moved up a day. Thankfully the tickets arrived in time for us to find out, check it wasn't a misprint and change the flight. Seems he was doing something for Comic Relief and couldn't be there on the ususal Wednesday. It was such a good night, my mum, brother, friend and myself all went along before editing the whole thing took about 2 hours and it was for a half hour show, so wierd seeing how it was all put together ! I mean we had to clap at the end for the band who had already been on as everything was kinda done back to front and then of course all the bits they wanted to redo we ahd to laugh at again and again lol!!!!!!! But the guy is just so funny, I taped the show when it aired on Friday for posterity :p. Left there and went to a nearby chinese restaurant for food and drinks then went on to another couple of bars until closing, needless to say we were all rather worse for wear but we really did have such a great time! And in case anyone is wondering what this aforementioned brother of mine looks like, well lets just say he's been mobbed and mistaken for Patrick on a couple of occasions lol!

Still alive and kicking!

No need to send out the search parties :p My online time for almost 3 weeks now has been kinda iffy because I have been staying with a friend who actually, good gods!, has a life - how dare she!, and isn't quite as attatched to her computer as I tend to be and isn't that keen on me visiting only to leave her by herself in another part of the house while I'm tapping away for hours on end *looks sheepish*

And what have we been up too? Mainly great shopping sprees in between bouts of utter slouching now doesn't that sound like a fantastic time! :D Well, what little redundancy money that did come in I decided I was owed at least a small part of it to spend sutpidly and impulsively so ended up with a couple of new shirts, a bracelet and a few more stones and cystals including the most beautiful egyptian style amethyst pendulum! Of which I just managed to snag some pics :D We also went to the Rocky horror 30th anniversy on Tuesday wich was such an awesome night even though I needed most of the next day to recover thanks to ending up in an Aussie theme bar before and after the show lol!

Now for the small rant.... what the hell has happened to Activetopic? You know, they guys that I get that little shoutbox from that seems to have disappeared... unfortunately because it only seems to have happened since I have been using this computer I don't know if it's just me not getting it, ie: computer sucks, or they really have crashed. Also seems to take a hell of a time to download the journal but don't know if that's conncected or not *shrugs* Well gotta run
