I had to go into town today, and we all know how much I hate that to begin with... so I'm on the escalator of a record store and I feel my back get sort of punched from behind, I turn around and this guy is talking at me, of course I have my earphones in and music blasting so I hadn't heard him and it seems he wanted my attention. I do the whole what? huh?! thing (which should have been a 'what the fuck was that about dude!' thing) and he proceeds to tell me how he hates crowds too and follows me round a bit. Well that ws enough for me, I decided to get myself lost in the crowds I despise so much and get out of the shop. This is probably not such a freaky occurrance, but obviusly I'm paranoid lol!

Just what I am thinking as I look at the still curled up kitty on my duvet. I'm overly tired and lethargic but seem to have got conned into visiting relatives that didn't make it up for the holidays (should there be a definite decision made to go). I just have tomorrow to be lazy and also to tidy up around here as my friend is arriving to spend the new year on Friday... and she is going to bitch and moan because of the new feline family member, she apparantly hates cats with a passion. Luckilly with my brother practically living with his love we may be able to put her up in his room rather than mine at least when it comes to where she'll sleep. The cat is not being permanently removed, thrown out, or in any other way harrassed to make anyone more comfortable who happens to visit 3/4 times a year. So there and a nener, nener, nener to boot.

Well, I hope everyone had a blessed yule and a merry christmas! Things have been pretty hectic the last week, last minute panic gift buying, visits to relatives, visitors galore and obviously masses of alcohol and major over eating. I may still yet explode from it all lol! It also snowed christmas day which was so cool and my brother, his love and myself actually got to make a huge snowman, something we haven't had enough of a snowfall for a long time. Yup, below is our best effort at snowman building, it even has huge stick/branch things for arms but it was dark and they are hard to make out lol!
No laughing, you'll hurt it's feelings :P lol! We proceeded after this to really wrap up and ran around the street having very fun snowball fights lol!. Apart from that I was also spending time with/spoiling the new kitty cat which hasn't been parted from me since it got here, barely leaves my room and demands constant petting and attention unless it is asleep (which is quite a bit let me tell you, I have never known a creature sleep so much!). As it sleeps on my bed, when I decide to go to sleep the cat just moves over enough for me to get in, sneaks under the covers and generally falls asleep for the night with it's head nestled into my neck and it's ickle paw on my arm. It's so cute you could choke lol! It still doesn't have a name, and I only really just bought food in bulk and other things for it because I didn't want to get stuck with a lot of cat foot and stuff if it suddenly decided it remembered where it was supposed to be and disappeared. I'm no a little more confidant that it intends to be here on a pretty long term basis, well I sure hope so :). Right now, once again stretched across my bed in sound, contented kitty sleep it would seem it's happy to be here.
I did pretty well on the pressie front this year, a bottle of JD (woot!), got my fav perfume, 'Pure Poison', a huge square/cubed swiss cheeseesque candle, a whole heap of dvd's such as Kill Bill 1&2 - Scary Movie 3 - Clueless (just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside lol! love that film) - Nightmare On Elm Street 1 to 6 dvd box set and a little box with a rubber blow up dolphin and a cd of dolphin noises for the bath heheheh!
Anyway, that's about it for now, almost 3am and I am sooooooooo damn tired (haven't been sleeping too well for fear of disturbing or squishing poor kitty lol!) I know I shall ahve so much catching up to do!
The last couple of days I have been a total and utter couch potato, only occasionally leaving the chair in front of the TV out of necessity, like food etc. Couldn't get my ass motivated to do anything else, and today I didn't even bother to get out of the PJ's.
Though today, I do seem to have somewhat acquired a new 'friend' at least for tonight. For the last 2/3 days we have had a kitty hanging around the garden, which kept turning the security light on, but I had only fleeting glimpses. Tonight the temp really dropped and hit about -2 my dad on heading into the garage found the aforementioned kitty frozen and curled up around the boiler keeping warm. He got the lil thing some milk and called me. That was a really bad thing to do, I am a total sucker for silver tabby cats and the little being just won me at first glance. We spent ages with it, so cute, so sweet and purring, then left it to sleep. Well I went to go to bed, which means going into the garage as my room is above it and kitty decided s/he was going wherever I was going and made itself comfy lol!
I let it have a wonder and a sniff around, before realizing I was already getting way to attatched and it was going to have to go back down to the boiler. I put it down there, turned off the light and headed up the stairs. The cat beat me back to the room. I put it out again and it sat outside the door and scraped, cried and carried on and I felt like a total bitch. So now the kitty is stretched out and out cold on my bed. I'm such a sucker... But I guess if it even gets one night of comfort before my mother has a fit and chases it, terrifying it within an inch of it's poor life, then it's better than nothing. I could not turn it out into that cold and worry about where it was going to go, would it be ok... Part of me is laughing and thinking would I have been so accommodating if it wasn't a silver tabby? lol!
Well, I just have to thank Robyn for those good vibes offered re my last post :) Anyway, shortly after reading her comment, I went inside and the phone rang. There was much woooo hoooooing and shouting and my mum managed to relay to us that 'P' was safe and had been found. Turns out he and an English guy (also apparantly reported missing by his family) got cut off in some remote area (again sketchy details) no outside communication, and no money. They are safe, he is on his way to Thailand to met his brother who had gone over to meet him and both families of the two previously missing guys must think christmas has come early for them. Everyone here is so relieved, we had ourselves stealed for some not very good news *phew!*
And now because I feel like it and there hasn't been on in a while a quiz thingy :D
Just a little background, my brothers fiancee is Australian, she went backpacking with her brother and eventually wound up here where she met my bro and decided she was staying (her mum is from the UK so she pretty much has dual citizenship).
Her brother moved on, continued traveling and keeping in contact, sadly we have just been informed that he went hiking/climbing or some such in Laos 3 weeks ago and no-one has heard from or seen him since. Why that time passed before anyone informed his parents they thought something might be wrong is beyond me, but I have only sketchy details right now... If there is no word by tomorrow, they have to officially report him as a missing person. My brother has just left to be with the poor girl and try to get her back to Australia asap to be with her mum and dad who are distraught, and everyone here is really devastated for them, my heart sank. Christmas is going to be hard for them and they are such wonderful people.
Lets hope they/we hear that he's ok, that it has been something silly (I don't think they'd care right now as long as he was fine) and that there will be an explanation and the panic has been unnecessary, or if something has happened that he is found safe. Send out the good vibes peeps....

I have one of the little guys already, now I need a holiday one *pout* Ohhhhhh and I have had other genius ideas lol! How about an Irish/St. Patrick's day penguin, how cute would that be, lil green penguin with a shamrock on it's tummy hehe! I'm getting carried away aren't I *cough*

What can I say, Florida was awesome, hectic in that 'we're really trying to squish much too much into this short time' kinda way so every muscle hurts and I'm exhausted, and damn hot but good :D And I only managed to annoy my sis and our friend twice by being strange heheh! Once when we suddenly hit some sort of stadium, fluorescent lighting while driving, that seemed to have replaced the normal road lighting, which freaked me out as it was late, dark and I had been more used to the previous lower level lighting. It seared the back of my eyes and gave me a headache which pissed me off. Second time was down to noise, too sudden, too loud and right next to me, something I very much hate, and as my ears can be quite sensitive can sometimes hurt. This made me swing round on it while 'grrrrrrrr'ing and looking unhappy and of course had my two companions wondering just how my mental health was lol! (a previous boss who I had warned not to do that, come up behind me, or too close and shout, or scream thought I was joking and decided it would be funny to do just that. The look on his face was a picture when my arm instinctively went back and as I turned round I just managed to avoid bopping him in the face. He's a good humored fellow though and was like 'wow, well ok then!' lol!)
Now, back to the trip! Left Friday evening (3rd) and flew to Manchester, where I met my sis and friend who had driven from Scotland. I was then informed that as it had been an after thought that I should come along all accommodation had only been booked for two people and I was going to have to sneak into the hotel they had decided to stay in for the night and get to the room as our flight wasn't leaving until early Saturday morning. They went on ahead in, and trying not to look suspicious I did my best to look like I was supposed to be there and follow not too close behind hoping no-one would stop me or question me. I do a good 'Inconspicuous' so I got a way with it.
Saturday: We head off for Manchester airport, and about 8 hours or so later we arrive in Sanford. We pick up our convertible (silver and black, yeah I'm a girl don't ask me what 'make' it was lol! :p) and start on our way to International Drive where the hotel is (again, I don't exist so I had to hide in the car until the others found out where the room was and as you didn't need to go through reception after that again, because it was all outside access, we were fine heheheh!) . Immediately we get there we just dump everything and go find the nearest building where we can shop. Stuff is seriously, seriously so much cheaper we just didn't know what to do with ourselves lol! We could have gone crazy! We stayed there until we couldn't walk anymore and fell into bed determined to really shop the next day.
Sunday: We hit the shops as we had talked about. Florida Mall, then another huge mall that we arrived at a little after 11am and left at around 9pm when it was closing. Starving, we grabbed some food and it was bedtime once again as we had to be up again at about 7am so we could all shower and be out at SeaWorld for 9am.
Monday: SeaWorld was cool for me. I'm a huge animal lover so I spent the day running around petting dolphins, watching the penguins and seals, the turtles, stingrays, manatees, ohhhing and ahhhing at the sharks and pointing and squealing at squirrels like I hadn't seen one before (well ya don't get many of them around here lol!) I was dragged to a couple of rides Kraken which as one of the first major roller coasters I have ever done scared me witless and took some persuasion... We then did Journey To Atlantis which was quite fun even if the 60ft drop made my stomach feel like it wanted to have a look too lol! I'm not so good on rides *laughs* The highlight of the day for me though had to be Shamu That was just incredible. I was blown away. Drenched from the water ride and Shamu, we went home, got changed and headed for City Walk as we wanted to eat at the Hard Rock there. Having finished eating, I'm looking about, seeing what's in the shop and stuff, singing away to a Korn song when a door opens from the side and I realize there is a concert and yeah, it clicks, Korn are in the hard rock and I've missed it... My sis disappears, and comes back telling me she'd been trying to get me in, the guy was really nice and said maybe if we'd been just a little earlier but it was the encore, last song and they were buggering off anyway *huff* We spilled out with the concert crowd, decided to have another look around and headed back to our beds.
Tuesday: More shopping until everyone dropped heh!
Wednesday: Animal Kingdom where we did the safari which for me again was amazing, DinoLand, the river rapids ride (which I thought a little disappointing), Tarzan Rocks and the highlight for me the Festival of the Lion King.
Thursday: Was relatively easy, we headed to Clearwater beach for a day of relaxing. I'm not a sun worshipper, I prefer beaches later in the evening, cooler and quieter so being there during the day I was covered in factor 60 sunscreen and hired a big umbrella lol! It was so beautiful though, I lay there with my eyes closed, shaded and listening to the water. We'd been so rushed, and spending hours on our feet shopping or walking the parks in the heat that it was nice to chill out for a day. We left there, changed again at home and headed out to City Walk again.
Friday: Universal!!!!!!!!!!!! woot! Total sensory overload for me! We did just about everything there ride wise, barring the kids stuff, favs for me being Shrek 4-D, Revenge Of The Mummy and Men In Black cause you got to shoot at things and save the universe *giggles* Then it was onto Islands Of Adventure. I was made again do scary rides lol! Like the Hulk Coaster, Doctor Doom's Fearfall, Duelling Dragons Of course being that the dragons incorporated 2 coasters we had to do both and after that I was heading for barf city. Also bear in mind I'm a tiny being, barely scraping some of the height requirements (and having to do a little hop up into the seats lol!) for some of these things so I was getting pretty thrown about. Add that to just how petrified I was/am of coaster type things and you can just imagine what my blood preasure and heart rate were doing lol!. Highlights for me there had to be Jurassic Park River Adventure and Spiderman which for me was too cool for words!
Saturday of course we had to leave, sadly, and that's the end of my little US adventure hehe!

At least for a week anyway heh!... In a couple of hours I'm off for a week to the US woot! We have an open top convertable waiting for us when we get there too. I am in real danger of of like, totally screaming 'like, roadtrip!' and clapping my hands while jumping up and down hehehehe!

December starts well... Music: Marilyn Manson - Get Your Gunn
I am so exhausted, and fuzzy due to lack of sleep. Lets go over my memories of December 1st. I went to bed about 3am, come 4am I become aware of noise, banging, screaming, I freak a little, i'm on my own. Eventually it hits me it's in the main house so I head out to beat the living shit out of someone who shouldn't be there. Security light goes on giving me full range of the living room as I pass the window and I realize it's my brother and a girl i don't recognize dancing and trashing the place. Now, not only am I fucking furious that I'm disturbed but this brainless bimbo is certainly not his fiancee.... I went looney tunes on him and left the house. Cut to a short while later and I can tell more people are in my home. Again, foaming at the mouth in rage by now, I go back in the house to find my brother with the same girl slobbering around him, and that his best friend and his girl has now joined the party. I lost the plot and and then went at his friend who had been with him earlier for letting it happen, giving off and slamming doors so hard I'm amazed they are still in place. So, bro's friend runs out after me saying how my bro really hasn't done anything(like that fucking matters when I have to look the girl he has promised to marry in the face again) and it's all good. I reminded him that on my worst day i'm 20 times smarter than they are on their best... and I haven't bought bull in years.
He said he knew I wasn't going to listen to him and went back to the living room, I left still foaming and tried to sleep again. Come around 7am my window is being beat in and I realize that at some point my brother ahs left and come back and now can't get in the house and needs keys. I ignored him, but he got in the garage and as my door wasn't locked walked in my room and took my keys telling me he'd be right back with them. of course that didn't happen and at 8am in desperate need for a pee lol! i tried to get in the house. No luck. Door locked and brother gone. Now this told me I would have to wait untill my mother arrived home around 8.30am or 9. I sent him a couple of 'get me my fucking keys because because you don't want me to be any angrier right now' messages but got no reply, this because on later discovery, he hadn't taken his phone to work with him.... He phoned later in the afternoon saying he was sorry and that he had been drunk. I told him if he wanted to be a slut and risk hurting someone who had such love and trust in him and who's parents had written from Austrialia so glad their girl was loved and being looked after and how they were looking forward to the big day etc he best keep it to fuck away from our home and that he was so fucking nasty.
I am so gobsmacked at this lack of respect for a relationship, and to be honest, if this is general man behaviour, and I was ever the cynic to begin with, then color me single forever because I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them...
On an upbeat note, I'm off to Florida tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! woooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! I need it.
